How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you exactly how much to take. Doses typically range from 25 to 200 micrograms per day, adjusted to your individual needs.

Method

Swallow the tablet once a day in the morning on an empty stomach, at least half an hour before breakfast, with a small amount of water.

Important

Do not take more than your doctor prescribes. Taking too much can cause serious side effects.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to levothyroxine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have untreated adrenal gland problems, pituitary gland problems, or an overactive thyroid (thyrotoxicosis).
  • Do not take if you have recently had a heart attack, heart muscle inflammation, or inflammation affecting all parts of the heart.
  • Do not take with anti-thyroid medicines if you are pregnant.
  • Do not use this medicine for weight loss. It does not help you lose weight if your thyroid hormone levels are normal and can cause serious side effects if taken in high doses, especially with other weight loss drugs.

  • Talk to your doctor if you have heart problems like chest pain, heart failure, fast or irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, or hardened arteries. These conditions need to be managed before starting treatment.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking biotin (Vitamin H/B7/B8) as it can affect thyroid hormone test results.
