How to Use

Method
This medicine is given as a drip directly into a vein (infusion), usually starting with a fast dose for 10 minutes, followed by a slower drip for up to 24 hours.
Important
The treatment usually lasts for a maximum of 24 hours.

COMMON
- •Unusually fast heart rate

- •Low blood pressure
RARE
- •Low potassium in the blood
- •Trouble sleeping
- •Dizziness
- •Atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat where the upper chambers of the heart flutter instead of beating normally)
- •Extra heartbeats
- •Heart failure
- •Lack of oxygen to the heart
- •Nausea
- •Constipation
- •Diarrhea
- •Vomiting
- •Low red blood cell count
- •Ventricular fibrillation (a severe irregular heartbeat where the lower chambers of the heart quiver instead of beating normally)
- •Allergic reaction (may include rash and itching)
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to levosimendan or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not use if your blood pressure is very low or your heart rate is unusually fast.
- Do not use if you have severe kidney or liver disease.
- Do not use if you have a heart condition that makes it hard for your heart to fill or empty.
- Do not use if you have ever had a specific heart rhythm disorder called Torsades de Pointes.

- Tell your doctor if you have low blood counts or chest pain.
- Tell your doctor if you have an unusually fast heartbeat, irregular heart rhythm, atrial fibrillation, or low potassium levels in your blood.
- This medicine should not be given to children or teenagers under 18 years old.
- Do not breastfeed while using this medicine, as it may harm your baby's heart or circulatory system.
- This medicine contains alcohol, which can affect your ability to drive or use machines.
