How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will decide the right dose for you; it usually starts with a quick 10-minute infusion, followed by a slower one for up to 24 hours.
Method
It is given as a drip into your vein in a hospital, so doctors can monitor you closely.

The infusion usually lasts 24 hours.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Abnormally fast heart rate
- •Headache
- •Drop in blood pressure
- •Low potassium levels in the blood
- •Sleep problems
- •Dizziness
- •Atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat)
- •Extra heartbeats
- •Heart failure
- •Lack of oxygen to the heart
- •Nausea
- •Constipation
- •Diarrhea
- •Vomiting
- •Low blood count (low hemoglobin)
RARE
- •Ventricular fibrillation (a very serious irregular heartbeat)
- •Hypersensitivity (symptoms may include rash and itching)
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to levosimendan or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not use if you have very low blood pressure or a very fast heartbeat.
- Do not use if you have severe kidney or liver disease.
- Do not use if you have a heart condition that affects your heart's ability to fill or pump blood.
- Do not use if you have a history of a heart rhythm problem called Torsades de Pointes.

- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. You should not breastfeed while using this medicine.
