How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your individual dose. Treatment starts with a low dose, which is gradually increased over several weeks until it becomes stable.

Method

Take this medicine by mouth, usually once a day.

Always follow your doctor's prescribed dose and do not exceed it.

Possible Side Effects

  • Heart problems (especially with high doses).
  • Too low potassium or magnesium levels in the blood.
  • Reduced platelet count.
  • Low blood sugar.
  • Can become dependent on Levopidon.
  • Sleep apnea (breathing pauses during sleep).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to levomethadone or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you are taking MAO inhibitors (for depression or Parkinson's disease) or have stopped taking them within the last 2 weeks.
  • Do not take if you have severe breathing or lung problems.
  • Do not take if you are dependent on non-opioid drugs.
  • Do not take if you are under 18 years old.

  • Do not use other opioid antagonists or agonists/antagonists (like pentazocine or buprenorphine) during Levopidon treatment, except for overdose treatment.
  • Never inject this medicine, as it can cause serious and permanent harm, possibly leading to death.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking Levopidon, as it can cause severe side effects or alter the medicine's effect.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor, as it may affect your baby. Monitor your baby for unusual sleepiness, breathing problems, or muscle weakness and contact your doctor immediately if you notice these symptoms.
  • Do not drive or use machines while taking Levopidon, as it can cause drowsiness and reduce your alertness.
