How to Use

Important Warnings

  • If you are allergic to levomethadone or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • If you are taking MAO inhibitors (medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease) or have stopped taking them in the last 2 weeks.
  • If you have severe breathing or lung problems.
  • If you are dependent on non-opioid drugs.
  • If you are under 18 years old.

  • Do not use other opioid blockers or similar drugs (like pentazocine or buprenorphine) while taking Levopidon, unless for overdose treatment.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking Levopidon, as this can cause serious side effects or change how the medicine works.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery while taking Levopidon, as it can make you drowsy and less alert.
  • Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children, as even small doses can be dangerous for them.
  • Levopidon must only be taken by mouth; never inject this medicine as it can cause serious and permanent harm, potentially leading to death.
  • Levopidon can cause tolerance, dependence, and addiction, which can lead to life-threatening overdose; it's crucial to take it exactly as prescribed.
  • Tell your doctor if you experience weakness, tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or low blood pressure, as these could be signs of adrenal gland problems.
  • Levopidon can cause sleep-related breathing issues like sleep apnea; contact your doctor if you or others notice pauses in breathing during sleep, waking up due to shortness of breath, restless sleep, or severe daytime sleepiness.
  • Tell your doctor if you take antidepressants, as combining them with Levopidon can increase side effects such as mental changes, fast heart rate, unstable blood pressure, fever, overactive reflexes, poor coordination, stiff muscles, or stomach problems.
  • Taking Levopidon with sedatives like benzodiazepines can cause severe drowsiness, breathing problems, or coma, which can be life-threatening; tell your doctor about all sedatives you are taking.
