How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose individually, starting with a low dose that is gradually increased over several weeks until a stable maintenance dose is reached.

Method

Take this medicine by mouth once a day. Do not inject it.

Important

Always follow your doctor's instructions for the dose and how often to take it. Never take more or less than prescribed.

  • Difficulty getting or keeping an erection
  • Menstrual problems
  • Swelling in the legs

  • Slow heart rate
  • Feeling your heart beat (palpitations)
  • Heart problems (especially with high doses)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to levomethadone or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you are taking MAO inhibitors for depression or Parkinson's disease, or have stopped taking them in the last 2 weeks.
  • Do not take if you have severe breathing or lung problems.
  • Do not take if you are dependent on non-opioid drugs.
  • Do not take if you are under 18 years old.

  • Do not use other opioid antagonists (like naltrexone, buprenorphine, pentazocine) while taking Levopidon, except for overdose treatment.
  • Keep this medicine out of reach and sight of children. Store it in a safe place.
  • Do not drive or use machines while taking Levopidon, as it can make you sleepy and less alert.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice with Levopidon, as it can cause serious side effects or change the medicine's effect.
  • Do not stop taking Levopidon without talking to your doctor first, as you may experience withdrawal symptoms.
  • Never inject this medicine, as it can cause serious and permanent harm, possibly leading to death.
