How to Use

Dosage

Method

This medicine is taken orally, usually once a day. Do not inject this medicine, as it can cause severe harm or even death.

Important

It is very important to use Levopidon exactly as your doctor tells you to, and never take more or less than prescribed to avoid overdose.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Levopidon if you are allergic to levomethadone or any other ingredients.
  • Do not use if you are taking or have taken MAO inhibitors (medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease) in the last 2 weeks.
  • Do not use if you have severe breathing or lung problems.
  • Do not use if you are dependent on non-opioid drugs.
  • Never inject Levopidon. It is only for oral use, and injecting it can cause severe, permanent harm or even death.

  • Do not drive or operate machinery while taking Levopidon, as it can make you drowsy and less alert.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice with Levopidon, as it can cause serious side effects and affect how the medicine works.
  • Keep Levopidon out of reach and sight of children. Children and adolescents under 18 should not take this medicine.
  • Repeated use can lead to dependence and addiction, which may cause a life-threatening overdose. Talk to your doctor if you feel you are losing control over how much or how often you take the medicine.
  • If you feel weak, tired, have no appetite, feel sick, vomit, or have low blood pressure, tell your doctor. These could be signs that your body is not making enough cortisol, and you might need hormone treatment.
  • Levopidon can cause breathing problems during sleep, like sleep apnea. If you or someone else notices pauses in breathing during sleep, waking up due to shortness of breath, interrupted sleep, or strong daytime sleepiness, contact your doctor.
  • Taking Levopidon with sedatives (medicines for sleep or to help you relax) increases the risk of drowsiness, breathing difficulties, and coma, which can be life-threatening. Only use this combination if no other treatment is possible.
