How to Use

Dosage

Method

Take this medicine as an oral solution, usually once a day, by mouth only. Never inject it, as this is very dangerous.

  • Sleep apnea (brief pauses in breathing during sleep)

Important Warnings

  • Always follow your doctor's exact dose. Levopidon is stronger than methadone, and taking too much can be very dangerous.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to Levopidon or any of its ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, especially for depression (like MAO inhibitors), Parkinson's disease, strong painkillers, or medicines that make you sleepy, as some combinations can be very dangerous.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking Levopidon, as this can cause bad side effects or change how the medicine works.
  • This medicine can make you sleepy and less alert. Do not drive or use machines until you know how it affects you and your doctor says it's safe.

  • Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children. Even a small amount can be very harmful or deadly to a child. Levopidon is not for children or teenagers under 18 years old.
  • Long-term use can lead to tolerance, dependence, and addiction. Talk to your doctor if you feel you are losing control over how much or how often you take it, or if you feel bad when you try to stop.
  • Before taking Levopidon, tell your doctor if you have severe breathing problems, asthma, low potassium, kidney or liver disease, thyroid problems, an enlarged prostate, a head injury, or any serious heart condition.
  • If you experience weakness, tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or low blood pressure, tell your doctor, as these could be signs of an adrenal gland problem.
