How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose individually, based on how soon your withdrawal symptoms start. Treatment begins with a starting dose, which is slowly increased over several weeks.

Method

Take this medicine by mouth, usually once a day. Never inject it, as this can cause serious harm or death.

Important

Important Warnings

  • This medicine is for you only. Do not give it to others, as it can harm them even if they have similar symptoms.
  • Only take Levopidon by mouth. Never inject it, as this can cause severe and permanent harm, possibly leading to death.
  • Do not drive or use machines while taking Levopidon, as it can make you sleepy and less alert.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking Levopidon, as it can cause serious side effects or affect how the medicine works.
  • Levopidon can cause dependence or addiction. The risk is higher if you or your family have a history of alcohol, prescription drug, or illegal drug misuse, if you smoke, or if you have a history of mood disorders or mental illness.

  • Levopidon can cause sleep-related breathing problems like sleep apnea (breathing stops during sleep). If you or someone else notices breathing pauses, waking up due to shortness of breath, restless sleep, or severe daytime sleepiness, contact a doctor. The doctor may consider reducing your dose.
  • Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children. Even small doses can be harmful to children, possibly causing poisoning.
