How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you how much to take. They will start with a small amount and slowly increase it.

Method

Take Levopidon by mouth, usually once a day, exactly as your doctor tells you.

Important

Never take more than your doctor has prescribed.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling sick to your stomach (nausea) or throwing up (vomiting)
  • Feeling sleepy or tired
  • Constipation (hard to poop)
  • Sweating a lot
  • Swelling from fluid in your body
  • Gaining weight
RARE
  • Headache
  • Dry mouth
  • Feeling dizzy or fainting
  • Skin rash or itching
  • Sleep apnea (brief pauses in breathing during sleep)
  • Changes in heart beat (slow or fast)
  • Low blood sugar
  • Breathing difficulties or lung problems

Important Warnings

  • Do not share this medicine with anyone else. It's only for you and can harm others.
  • Take this medicine only by mouth. Never inject it, as it can cause very serious harm or even death.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine. They can cause serious problems.
  • Do not drive or use heavy machinery when taking Levopidon, as it can make you sleepy or less alert.
  • Keep this medicine in a safe place, out of reach and sight of children. Even a small amount can be dangerous to them.

  • Tell your doctor if you have asthma, kidney, liver, thyroid, or heart problems, or if you have recently had a head injury.
  • Using Levopidon with certain calming medicines (sedatives) can make you very sleepy, cause breathing problems, and be life-threatening.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, as it can affect your baby.
