How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose individually. Treatment starts with a low dose, which is gradually increased.

Method

Take the medicine by mouth, usually once a day. Never inject this medicine.

Important

Always take exactly the dose your doctor prescribed. Do not exceed your doctor's instructions.

Important Warnings

  • Never inject Levopidon. It is only for oral use, and injecting it can be life-threatening.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to levomethadone or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you are using or have used antidepressant medicines called MAO inhibitors within the last 2 weeks.
  • Do not take if you have severe breathing or lung problems.
  • Do not take if you are dependent on non-opioid drugs (other drugs than heroin or morphine).

  • This medicine can cause addiction and a risk of overdose. Only take it as your doctor instructs.
  • This medicine can cause breathing problems during sleep, such as sleep apnea. If you notice this, contact your doctor.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking Levopidon.
  • Do not drive or use machines, as this medicine can make you drowsy and less alert.
