How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose, which is adjusted individually for you. Never change your dose without first talking to your doctor.

Method

Take the tablets 30 minutes before a meal or one hour after. To prevent nausea, you can take the medicine with a low-protein snack, like a biscuit. The tablet can be divided into two equal halves.

Important

Your doctor will set your appropriate dose. Do not exceed the maximum dose prescribed by your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Involuntary movements
  • Dizziness when standing up quickly
  • Insomnia
RARE
  • Changes in blood counts
  • Itching or rash
  • Severe reaction if medicine is stopped suddenly
  • Increased sleepiness or sudden sleep attacks
  • Impulse control disorders (e.g., gambling, overspending, increased sexual desire, or binge eating)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to levodopa, benserazide, or any other ingredients.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or if you are a woman of childbearing age not using reliable contraception.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as it can cause life-threatening symptoms like blood pressure changes, fever, or consciousness disturbances.
  • This medicine can cause drowsiness or sudden sleep attacks. If this happens, do not drive or operate machinery that requires full attention.
  • Tell your doctor if you or your family notice new or unusual behaviors, such as a strong urge to gamble, increased sexual desire, compulsive shopping, or binge eating.
