Important Warnings

  • Do not use Levodonna if you are allergic to levonorgestrel or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • This medicine does not work if you are already pregnant. Levodonna will not end an existing pregnancy, and it is not an 'abortion pill'.
  • Talk to a doctor before using Levodonna if you have a severe bowel disease (like Crohn's disease), severe liver problems, a history of ectopic pregnancy, or fallopian tube inflammation (salpingitis), as these increase the risk of a new ectopic pregnancy.
  • Levodonna does not protect against sexually transmitted infections (like HIV); only condoms can do that.
  • Levodonna is for emergency use only and should not be used as a regular birth control method. If you take it more than once in the same menstrual cycle, its effectiveness will decrease.
