How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water or another drink, with or without food. Take it at the same time each day.

Important

One tablet is the recommended and usually also the maximum daily dose.

  • Pain or burning in hands and wrists (carpal tunnel syndrome)
  • Sensory disturbances, especially numbness or tingling
  • Eye problems (blurred vision, eye irritation)
  • Skin problems (itching, hives)
  • Vaginal discharge or dryness
  • Breast pain
  • Fever
  • Thirst, taste changes, dry mouth
  • Dry mucous membranes
  • Weight loss
  • Urinary tract infection, frequent urination
  • Cough
  • Increased enzyme levels
  • Yellowing of skin and eyes
  • High bilirubin levels (breakdown product of red blood cells)
  • Tendonitis (inflammation of tendons)
  • Weakness, paralysis, or loss of sensation (especially in hands or feet), poor coordination, nausea, speech or breathing problems (signs of stroke)
  • Sudden, crushing chest pain (sign of heart problems)
  • Difficulty breathing, chest pain, fainting, rapid heartbeat, bluish skin, or sudden pain in an arm, calf, or leg (signs of a blood clot)
  • Swelling, redness, severe tenderness in the vein area
  • High fever, chills, or mouth sores due to infection (signs of low white blood cells)
  • Severe, prolonged blurred vision
  • Tendon rupture
  • Trigger finger

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to letrozole or other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you still have your period (have not gone through menopause).
  • Do not use if you are pregnant.
  • Do not use if you are breastfeeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe kidney disease.

  • Tell your doctor if you have previously had bone loss (osteoporosis) or fractures.
  • Letrozole can cause tendon inflammation or injury. If a tendon is sore or swollen, rest the area and contact your doctor.
  • This medicine should not be given to children or adolescents.
  • Do not drive or use machines if you feel dizzy, tired, or generally unwell.
  • If you have an intolerance to certain sugars (like lactose), talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
  • Swelling, mainly in the face and throat (signs of an allergic reaction). Seek immediate medical help.
  • Yellow skin and eyes, nausea, loss of appetite, dark urine (signs of liver inflammation). Seek immediate medical help.
  • Rash, red skin, blisters on lips, eyes, and mouth, peeling skin, fever (signs of a severe skin condition). Seek immediate medical help.
