How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is one Letrozol ratiopharm tablet once a day.

Method

The tablet can be taken with or without food and should be swallowed whole with a glass of water or another drink. It's best to take it at the same time each day to help you remember.

Important

Maximum one 2.5 mg tablet once a day.

RARE
  • Weakness, paralysis or numbness in any body part, poor coordination, nausea, trouble speaking or breathing (signs of a stroke)
  • Sudden, crushing chest pain (sign of heart problems)
  • Swelling, redness, and severe tenderness along a vein
  • High fever, chills, or mouth sores (signs of low white blood cell count)
  • Severe, prolonged blurred vision
  • Breathing difficulties, chest pain, fainting, rapid heartbeat, bluish skin, or sudden arm/leg pain (possible blood clot)
  • Swelling, especially of the face and throat (signs of allergic reaction)
  • Yellow skin/eyes, nausea, loss of appetite, dark urine (signs of liver problems)
  • Rash, red skin, blisters on lips/eyes/mouth, skin peeling, fever (signs of severe skin reaction)
  • Nervous system issues like anxiety, nervousness, irritability, drowsiness, memory problems, sleepiness, trouble sleeping
  • Pain or burning in hand/wrist (carpal tunnel syndrome)
  • Reduced sensation, especially to touch
  • Eye problems like blurred vision, irritation
  • Skin problems like itching (hives)
  • Vaginal discharge or dryness
  • Fever
  • Thirst, taste changes, dry mouth
  • Dry mucous membranes
  • Weight loss
  • Urinary tract infection, frequent urination
  • Cough
  • Increased enzyme levels
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes
  • High bilirubin levels in blood
  • Tendon inflammation (tendinitis)
  • Tendon rupture
  • Trigger finger (finger gets stuck in a bent position)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to letrozole or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you still have periods, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have severe kidney disease, severe liver disease, or if you have or have had osteoporosis or bone fractures.
  • Letrozol can cause tendon problems. If you have tendon pain or swelling, rest the area and contact your doctor.
  • This medicine can make you feel dizzy, tired, or sleepy. Do not drive or use machines until you feel normal again.
