This medicine is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels.
The usual dose is one 10 mg tablet once a day. Your doctor may increase it to one 20 mg tablet daily if needed.
Take the tablet whole with half a glass of water, preferably in the morning at least 15 minutes before breakfast. A high-fat meal can increase the medicine's levels in your blood. The score line is only to help you swallow the tablet, not to divide it into equal doses.
The maximum daily dose is usually one 20 mg tablet.
Suitable for older adults. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Significant adverse effects include ankle oedema and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 17.2.2025)
