How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will tell you the exact dose and treatment schedule.
Method
Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not break, open, or chew them. You can take the medicine with or without food, around the same time each day during your treatment cycle.
Important
Your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose based on your condition and response to treatment.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Feeling very tired or weak (due to low red blood cells)
- •Skin rash and itching
- •Muscle cramps or pain
- •Swelling in hands or feet
- •Fever or flu-like symptoms (chills, body aches)
- •Numbness or tingling
- •Diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain
- •Shortness of breath
- •Blurred vision
RARE
- •Bleeding in the brain
- •Yellow skin or eyes (jaundice) or liver damage
- •Inflammation of the pancreas (severe stomach pain)
- •Severe skin reactions (like widespread rash or skin peeling)
- •Kidney failure
- •Blood clots or problems with blood vessels in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension)
Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are planning to get pregnant, as it can harm the unborn baby.
- If you can get pregnant, you must use effective birth control during treatment and for some time after. Discuss this with your doctor.
- Seek immediate medical help if you have a severe allergic reaction like hives, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or trouble breathing.
- Tell your doctor if you have had blood clots, infections (like Hepatitis B, shingles, HIV), kidney problems, or heart problems (like heart attack or high blood pressure).
- This medicine can make you dizzy, tired, or blur your vision. Do not drive or operate machines if you experience these symptoms.
