How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the exact dose to take.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not break, open, or chew them. You can take them with or without food, at roughly the same time each day on your scheduled treatment days.

Important

Your doctor will determine your maximum daily amount as part of your treatment cycle.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling tired or weak due to low red blood cells; low white blood cells can increase infection risk.
  • Rashes, itching, or dry skin.
  • Muscle cramps, muscle pain, bone pain, joint pain, back pain, or pain around the tumor.
  • Extreme tiredness, fever, headache, body aches, cough, or chills.
  • Constipation, diarrhea, feeling sick (nausea), or being sick (vomiting).
  • Swelling in arms or legs.
  • Numbness, tingling, or dizziness.
  • Changes in appetite or taste.
  • Kidney or liver problems, abnormal liver tests, or high/low blood sugar.
  • Shortness of breath, nosebleeds, or headaches.
RARE
  • Serious blood clots in legs or lungs (causing leg pain, chest pain, or shortness of breath).
  • Severe allergic reactions like swelling of the face/mouth, trouble breathing, or severe skin rash with peeling.
  • Signs of serious infection, like high fever, chills, sore throat, or a bad cough.
  • Bleeding or bruising easily, or bleeding inside the head.
  • Heart problems, including heart attack symptoms (chest pain spreading to arms/neck, sweating, sickness) or abnormal heart rhythm.
  • Nerve damage leading to stroke, fainting, severe dizziness, vision loss, or problems with balance or speech.
  • Damage to kidneys (e.g., muscle breakdown causing kidney issues) or pancreas (pancreatitis with severe stomach pain).
  • Severe stomach or bowel issues, such as inflammation or a hole in the wall (with severe stomach pain, fever, bloody stools).
  • Viral infections like shingles or reactivated Hepatitis B.
  • Your body rejecting a transplanted organ (like a kidney or heart).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, as it can harm the unborn baby.
  • If you can become pregnant, you must use effective birth control during treatment and for at least four weeks after stopping.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to lenalidomide or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had blood clots before, as this medicine can increase your risk of developing new blood clots.
  • Tell your doctor if you have signs of infection like a cough or fever.

  • Tell your doctor if you have had a virus infection (especially Hepatitis B, chickenpox, or HIV) as this medicine might reactivate it.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had a heart attack, blood clots, if you smoke, or if you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had an allergic reaction to thalidomide (another medicine) with rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had a severe skin reaction with widespread rash, red skin, high fever, flu-like symptoms, increased liver enzymes, unusual blood counts, or swollen lymph nodes.
