How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you how much Lenalidomide Orion to take, and they may adjust your dose based on blood tests and your general health.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not break, open, or chew them. You can take them with or without food, at the same time each day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling tired or weak due to low red blood cells (anemia).
  • Skin rash and itching.
  • Muscle and joint pain, back pain, limb pain, muscle cramps or weakness.
  • Swelling, especially in your arms and legs.
  • General weakness or tiredness.
  • Fever and flu-like symptoms (like muscle aches, headache, earache, cough, and chills).
  • Numbness, tingling, burning, or pain in hands or feet, dizziness, or shaking.
  • Reduced appetite or changes in taste.
  • Increased pain, tumor getting bigger, or redness around the tumor.
  • Weight loss.
  • Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, or heartburn.
  • Low levels of potassium, calcium, or sodium in your blood.
  • Underactive thyroid.
  • Pain in the leg, chest pain, or shortness of breath.
  • All types of infections, including sinus, lung, and upper airway infections.
  • Shortness of breath.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Clouding of the eye (cataract).
  • Kidney problems.
  • Abnormal or increased liver test results.
  • Changes in blood protein that can cause swelling of blood vessels (vasculitis).
  • High or low blood sugar.
  • Headache.
  • Nosebleed.
  • Dry skin.
  • Feeling depressed, mood changes, or trouble sleeping.
  • Cough.
  • Low blood pressure.
  • General feeling of discomfort or being unwell.
  • Sore or dry mouth.
  • Dehydration.
RARE
  • Destruction of red blood cells (hemolytic anemia).
  • Certain types of skin tumors.
  • Bleeding from gums, stomach, or intestines.
  • High blood pressure, slow, fast, or irregular heart rate.
  • Increased levels of substances from red blood cell breakdown.
  • Increased levels of protein that show inflammation in the body.
  • Skin darkening, bruising, or skin swelling from blood under the skin.
  • Increased uric acid in your blood.
  • Skin symptoms like redness, cracking, peeling, or hives.
  • Increased sweating, including night sweats.
  • Difficulty swallowing, sore throat, or changes in your voice.
  • Runny nose.
  • Unusually high or low urine output, or difficulty controlling urination.
  • Blood in urine.
  • Shortness of breath, especially when lying down.
  • Erectile dysfunction (trouble getting or keeping an erection).
  • Stroke, fainting, dizziness (feeling like the room is spinning), or temporary loss of consciousness.
  • Chest pain that spreads to your arms, neck, jaw, back, or stomach, with sweating, shortness of breath, nausea, or vomiting.
  • Muscle weakness or lack of energy.
  • Neck pain or chest pain.
  • Chills.
  • Joint swelling.
  • Slowed or blocked bile flow from your liver.
  • Low blood phosphate or magnesium.
  • Speech difficulties.
  • Liver damage.
  • Balance problems or difficulty moving.
  • Deafness or ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
  • Nerve pain or strange sensations, especially when touched.
  • Too much iron in the body.
  • Thirst.
  • Confusion.
  • Toothache.
  • Falls that may cause injury.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or plan to get pregnant, as it can harm your baby.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to lenalidomide or any other ingredients in it.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had blood clots before or are at risk of getting them, as this medicine can increase that risk.
  • Tell your doctor if you have signs of an infection (like cough or fever) or have had viral infections (like Hepatitis B or HIV), as this medicine can make them worse.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, as your dose may need to be changed.
