How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you exactly how much Lenalidomide Grindeks to take.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not break, open, or chew them. You can take them with or without food, at the same time each day as your doctor instructs.

Important

Your doctor will set your maximum daily dose.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Anemia (low red blood cells, causing tiredness and weakness)
  • Skin rash, itching
  • Muscle pain, cramps, weakness; bone, joint, back, arm, or leg pain
  • Swelling (especially in arms and legs)
  • Feeling weak or tired
  • Fever and flu-like symptoms (e.g., muscle aches, headache, cough, chills)
  • Numbness, tingling, or burning sensation on the skin; pain in hands or feet; dizziness; shaking
  • Decreased appetite, changes in taste
  • Weight loss
  • Increased pain, larger tumor, or redness around the tumor
  • Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn
  • Low levels of potassium, calcium, or sodium in the blood
  • Underactive thyroid gland
  • Leg pain (can be a sign of a blood clot), chest pain, or shortness of breath (can be a sign of a blood clot in the lungs)
  • Any type of infection (e.g., sinus, lung, upper airway)
  • Shortness of breath
  • Blurred or weak eyesight
  • Clouding of the eye (cataract)
  • Kidney problems
  • Abnormal liver test results
  • High or low blood sugar
  • Headache
  • Nosebleeds
  • Dry skin
  • Depression, mood changes, sleep problems
  • Cough
  • Low blood pressure
  • General discomfort or feeling unwell
  • Sore, inflamed mouth; dry mouth
  • Dehydration
  • Darker skin, skin discoloration from bleeding (bruising, swelling)
  • Increased sweating, night sweats
  • Difficulty swallowing, sore throat, voice problems
  • Runny nose
  • Changes in urine amount (more or less than usual), bloody urine
  • Shortness of breath when lying down (can be a sign of heart failure)
  • Erection problems
  • Stroke, fainting, dizziness (problems with inner ear causing spinning sensation), temporary loss of consciousness
  • Chest pain radiating to arm, neck, jaw, back or stomach, sweating, shortness of breath, nausea or vomiting (can be signs of a heart attack)
  • Muscle weakness, fatigue
  • Neck pain, chest pain
  • Chills
  • Joint swelling
  • Slowed or blocked bile flow from the liver
  • Low blood phosphate or magnesium
  • Speech problems
  • Liver damage
  • Balance problems, difficulty moving
  • Deafness, ringing in ears (tinnitus)
  • Nerve pain, unpleasant or abnormal sensations especially when touched
  • Too much iron in the body
  • Thirst
  • Confusion
  • Toothache
  • Falls that lead to injury
RARE
  • Bleeding inside the skull
  • Blood circulation problems
  • Loss of eyesight
  • Loss of sex drive (libido)
  • Passing a large amount of urine with bone pain and weakness (can be signs of Fanconi syndrome, a kidney disorder)
  • Yellow skin, eyes, or mucous membranes (jaundice); pale stool; dark urine; itchy skin; rash; stomach pain or swelling (can be signs of liver damage or liver failure)
  • Stomach pain, swelling, or diarrhea (can be signs of inflammation in the colon or appendix)
  • Kidney cell damage (renal tubular necrosis)
  • Skin color changes, sensitivity to sunlight
  • Tumor lysis syndrome (metabolic problems from dying cancer cells that can lead to kidney and heart issues, seizures, and sometimes death)
  • High blood pressure in lung blood vessels (pulmonary hypertension)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or plan to get pregnant, as it can seriously harm the baby. Women who can get pregnant must use effective birth control.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to lenalidomide or any other ingredient in it.
  • Tell your doctor if you have ever had blood clots, a heart attack, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. This medicine can increase your risk of blood clots.
  • Tell your doctor if you have signs of infection (like a cough or fever) or if you have ever had serious viral infections (like Hepatitis B, chickenpox, or HIV). Also, mention if you have kidney problems.
  • Get help right away if you have serious allergic reactions (hives, swelling of face or throat, trouble breathing) or severe skin rashes with fever or flu-like symptoms.
