How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the correct dose. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole, preferably with water. Do not break, open, or chew them. You can take the capsules with or without food. Take Lenalidomide Grindeks on the days specified by your doctor, at approximately the same time each day.

Important

Your doctor will determine your maximum daily dose. Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Fatigue, weakness (due to low red blood cells)
  • Skin problems like rash and itching
  • Muscle cramps, muscle weakness, muscle and joint pains, back pain, limb pains
  • Swelling, especially in arms and legs
  • Fever and flu-like symptoms, such as muscle aches, headache, cough, and chills
  • Numbness, tingling, burning sensation or pain in hands and feet, dizziness, tremor
  • Loss of appetite, altered taste
  • Weight loss
  • Increased pain, larger tumor size, or redness around the tumor
  • Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn
  • Low potassium, calcium, and/or sodium levels in blood
  • Underactive thyroid function
  • Leg or chest pain, shortness of breath (may be a sign of a blood clot)
  • Infections (such as sinusitis, lung, or upper respiratory tract infections)
  • Shortness of breath
  • Blurred or weakened vision
  • Cataracts (clouding of the eye)
  • Kidney failure
  • Abnormal liver test results
  • Blood vessel inflammation (vasculitis)
  • Blood sugar changes (high or low)
  • Headache
  • Nosebleed
  • Dry skin
  • Mood changes, depression, sleep difficulties
  • Cough
  • Low blood pressure
  • General discomfort
  • Mouth sores, dry mouth
  • Dehydration
  • Breakdown of red blood cells (hemolytic anemia)
  • Certain skin growths
  • Bleeding from gums, stomach, or intestines
  • Increased blood pressure, slow, fast, or irregular heartbeat
  • Darkening or discoloration of skin, bruising, swelling under the skin
  • Skin problems like redness, cracking, peeling, or hives
  • Increased sweating, night sweats
  • Difficulty swallowing, sore throat, voice changes
  • Runny nose
  • Changes in urine output (increased/decreased), urinary incontinence, blood in urine
  • Shortness of breath when lying down (may be a symptom of heart failure)
  • Erection problems
  • Stroke, fainting, vertigo, loss of consciousness
  • Chest pain radiating to arms, neck, jaw, back or stomach, sweating, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting (signs of a heart attack)
  • Neck and chest pain
  • Joint swelling
  • Slowed or blocked bile flow from the liver
  • Low blood phosphate or magnesium levels
  • Difficulty speaking
  • Liver damage
  • Balance or movement difficulties
  • Hearing loss, ringing in ears (tinnitus)
  • Nerve pain, unpleasant skin sensations
  • Excess iron in the body
  • Thirst
  • Confusion

  • Falls (may lead to injury)
RARE
  • Bleeding inside the skull
  • Circulatory problems
  • Loss of vision
  • Loss of sex drive (libido)
  • Increased urine output with bone pain and weakness (may be Fanconi syndrome, a kidney disorder)
  • Yellow skin, eyes, or mucous membranes, pale stools, dark urine, itchy skin, rash, abdominal pain or swelling (may be signs of liver damage)
  • Abdominal pain, swelling, or diarrhea (may be colon inflammation)
  • Kidney cell damage (renal tubular necrosis)
  • Skin discoloration, sensitivity to sunlight
  • Breakdown of cancer cells (tumor lysis syndrome), which can cause kidney damage and heart problems
  • Pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lung blood vessels)
  • Pancreatitis: sudden or worsening upper abdominal or back pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, rapid heart rate
  • Lung inflammation: wheezing, shortness of breath, dry cough
  • Muscle tissue breakdown (rhabdomyolysis), which can cause kidney problems
  • Small blood vessel inflammation in the skin (leukocytoclastic vasculitis), with joint pain and fever
  • Stomach or intestinal wall rupture (can lead to severe infection)
  • Viral infections, such as shingles or recurrence of hepatitis B infection
  • Transplant rejection (e.g., kidney, heart)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, as it can harm the unborn baby.
  • If you can become pregnant, you must use reliable contraception during and after taking this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to lenalidomide or any other ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had blood clots before, as this medicine increases your risk of getting them.
  • Tell your doctor if you have signs of infection, such as cough or fever.

  • Inform your doctor if you have or have had a viral infection, such as Hepatitis B, chickenpox, or HIV.
  • If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had a heart attack, blood clots, if you smoke, or if you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience blurred vision, speech difficulties, weakness, balance problems, numbness, memory loss, or confusion, as these could be signs of a serious brain condition.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have shortness of breath, tiredness, dizziness, chest pain, a fast heartbeat, or swollen legs or ankles, as these can be signs of a serious heart or lung condition.
