How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you exactly how much Lenalidomid Zentiva to take, as the dose is personalized.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not break, open, or chew them. You can take them with or without food, around the same time each day.

Important

Your doctor will determine your maximum daily dose based on your condition and blood test results.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling very tired, weak, or dizzy (due to low red blood cells or generally).
  • Rashes, itching, or other skin changes.
  • Muscle cramps, pain, weakness, or stiffness (including back, joint, and limb pain).
  • Swelling, especially in your arms, legs, or ankles.
  • Fever, chills, headache, and flu-like symptoms.
  • Numbness, tingling, or burning sensation, or pain in your hands or feet.
  • Loss of appetite or changes in how food tastes.
  • Stomach problems like constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or heartburn.
  • Low levels of certain salts in your blood (like potassium, calcium, or sodium).
  • Trouble with your thyroid gland (underactive thyroid).
  • Leg pain, chest pain, or feeling short of breath (which could mean blood clots in the lungs).
  • All types of infections, including infections of the nose, sinuses, lungs, and upper airways.
  • Blurred or decreased vision, or clouding of the eye (cataracts).
  • Kidney problems, or abnormal/increased liver test results.
  • Changes in blood proteins that can cause blood vessel swelling.
  • High or low blood sugar levels.
  • Nosebleeds or dry skin.
  • Feeling sad, mood changes, or trouble sleeping.
  • Cough or low blood pressure.
  • General feeling of being unwell, a sore inflamed mouth, dry mouth, or not having enough fluids (dehydration).
RARE
  • Bleeding inside your head.
  • Problems with blood flow or losing your eyesight.
  • Loss of sex drive.
  • Kidney problems (like Fanconi syndrome) causing lots of urine, bone pain, and weakness.
  • Yellow skin or eyes (jaundice), pale stool, dark urine, itchy skin, rash, stomach pain or swelling (could be signs of liver problems).
  • Stomach pain, swelling, or diarrhea (could be signs of colon or appendix inflammation).
  • Damage to kidney cells.
  • Skin changes or being sensitive to the sun.
  • Serious issues from dying cancer cells (tumor lysis syndrome) that affect your blood, kidneys, and heart.
  • High blood pressure in the blood vessels of your lungs.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are planning to get pregnant, as it can harm the baby.
  • If you can become pregnant, you must use effective birth control during treatment and for a period after.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to lenalidomide or any other ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had blood clots, as this medicine can increase your risk of developing new clots.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you have signs of an infection, such as fever, chills, cough, or sore throat.

  • Tell your doctor if you have had a viral infection like Hepatitis B, chickenpox, or HIV, as this medicine might reactivate it.
  • Inform your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience severe skin reactions such as widespread rash, itching, swelling of the eyes, mouth, or face, or difficulty breathing.
  • Report immediately if you notice changes in your vision, speech, balance, persistent numbness, memory loss, or confusion, as these could be symptoms of a serious brain condition (PML).
