How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the exact dose to take based on your condition.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water, with or without food, at about the same time each day according to your treatment schedule; do not break or chew them.

Important

Your doctor will determine the safe maximum daily dose based on your condition and blood test results.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Anemia (tiredness, weakness)
  • Rash, itching
  • Muscle and joint pain, back pain, muscle cramps
  • Swelling in hands or feet
  • General tiredness and weakness
  • Fever and flu-like symptoms (chills, headache, cough)
  • Numbness, tingling, or tremors in hands or feet
  • Decreased appetite, altered taste
  • Increased pain or redness around the tumor (if present)
  • Weight loss
  • Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn
  • Low blood potassium, calcium, or sodium levels
  • Underactive thyroid
  • Various infections, such as sinus or lung infections
  • Shortness of breath
  • Blurred vision, cataracts
  • Kidney or liver problems
  • Blood clots, changes in blood sugar
  • Headache, nosebleed, dry skin
  • Depression, mood changes, sleep problems
  • Low blood pressure, inflamed and dry mouth
  • Bleeding from gums or intestines
  • High blood pressure, irregular heartbeat
  • Darkening skin or bruising

  • Thirst, confusion, toothache, falls (leading to injury)
RARE
  • Bleeding in the skull
  • Circulation problems, vision loss
  • Decreased sex drive
  • Increased urination with bone pain and weakness (signs of kidney disease)
  • Yellowing of skin, eyes, or mucous membranes, dark urine, pale stools, itching (signs of liver failure)
  • Stomach pain, swelling, or diarrhea (signs of large intestine inflammation)
  • Damage to kidney cells
  • Skin color changes, sensitivity to sunlight
  • Complications from tumor cell breakdown (Tumor lysis syndrome)
  • High blood pressure in the lung arteries (pulmonary hypertension)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or could become pregnant, as it can harm an unborn baby.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to lenalidomide or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Get immediate medical help if you have a severe allergic reaction, such as rash, swelling of the eyes, mouth, or face, or difficulty breathing.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you develop a widespread rash, high fever, or other severe skin reactions like blistering or peeling skin.
  • Inform your doctor about fever, chills, sore throat, cough, mouth sores, or other signs of infection.

  • Tell your doctor if you experience unusual bleeding or bruising without injury.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you have chest pain, leg pain, or shortness of breath, as these could be signs of a blood clot.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel dizzy, tired, sleepy, or have blurred vision.
  • Report blurred vision, weakness in an arm or leg, changes in walking, memory loss, or confusion, as these could be signs of a serious brain disease (PML).
