How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you exactly how much to take, as the dose varies depending on your condition and other medications.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not break, open, or chew them. You can take them with or without food, at the same time each day as directed by your doctor.

Important

The maximum daily dose will be determined by your doctor as part of your treatment cycle, which can be 21 or 28 days long.

  • Bleeding inside the skull
  • Circulatory problems
  • Loss of vision
  • Loss of sex drive
  • High urine output with bone pain and weakness (may be signs of a kidney disorder)
  • Yellow skin or eyes (jaundice), pale stools, dark urine, itchy skin, rash, stomach pain or swelling (may be signs of liver damage)
  • Stomach pain, swelling or diarrhea (may be signs of colon inflammation)
  • Kidney cell damage (renal tubular necrosis)
  • Skin color changes, sensitivity to sunlight
  • Tumor lysis syndrome (complications from cancer cells breaking down)
  • High blood pressure in the lung arteries (pulmonary hypertension)
  • Sudden or worsening stomach or back pain with nausea, vomiting, fever, and fast heart rate (may be pancreatitis)
  • Wheezing, shortness of breath, or dry cough (may be lung inflammation)
  • Muscle breakdown (muscle pain, weakness, swelling) that can lead to kidney problems (rhabdomyolysis)
  • Skin disease from small blood vessel inflammation, with joint pain and fever (leukocytoclastic vasculitis)
  • Rupture of stomach or intestinal wall, leading to severe infection
  • Viral infections like shingles or reactivated hepatitis B (can cause yellow skin/eyes, dark urine, abdominal pain, fever, nausea/vomiting)
  • Organ transplant rejection (e.g., kidney, heart)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, suspect you are pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, as it can severely harm the unborn baby.
  • If you can become pregnant, you must use effective birth control before, during, and after treatment.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to lenalidomide or any other ingredient in it.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had blood clots, an infection, kidney problems, a heart attack, or high blood pressure or cholesterol before, as this medicine may increase risks.
  • Inform your doctor if you have or have had a viral infection, such as hepatitis B, chickenpox, or HIV, as this medicine can reactivate viruses.

  • Tell your doctor if you have had a severe allergic skin reaction to thalidomide or any other medicine, with widespread rash, fever, or swollen lymph nodes.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience blurred vision, speech problems, weakness, memory loss, or confusion, as these could be signs of a serious brain condition (PML).
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience shortness of breath, fatigue, chest pain, fast heartbeat, or swelling in your legs or ankles, as these could be signs of pulmonary hypertension.
