Lacosamide Stada is a medicine for epilepsy that helps reduce seizures.
Your doctor will tell you your exact dose. Typically, you start with 50 mg or 100 mg twice a day, and your doctor will slowly increase it. The usual dose is between 100 mg and 300 mg twice a day.
Take the tablets twice a day, about 12 hours apart. Try to take them at the same time each day. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water, with or without food.
Do not take more than 600 mg in one day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in severe renal impairment. Common adverse effects include dizziness and nausea. (updated 6.10.2025)
