How to Use
Dosage
Take this medicine exactly as your doctor has prescribed.
Method
Swallow the tablets with a glass of water, preferably at the same time each day to help you remember.
Important
Do not take more than your doctor has prescribed, and never take a double dose to make up for a forgotten one.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Difficulty sleeping
- •Headache
- •Changes in taste
- •Diarrhea
- •Nausea, vomiting, indigestion, or stomach pain
- •Rash or increased sweating
RARE
- •Severe allergic reaction with rash, swelling of the face/throat, or difficulty breathing.
- •Signs of liver problems like yellow skin or eyes, dark urine, itching, or stomach pain.
- •Serious skin reactions such as blisters, peeling skin, or a widespread rash.
- •Severe muscle pain or weakness (which can be a sign of a serious condition called rhabdomyolysis).
- •Dizziness or spinning sensation (vertigo).
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to clarithromycin, other similar antibiotics (macrolides), or any other ingredients in this medicine.
- Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines that can cause serious heart rhythm problems.
- Inform your doctor if you have severe liver or kidney problems.
- Contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe or prolonged diarrhea, especially if it contains blood or mucus, during or after taking Klacid.
