How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is 1 tablet, 1–3 times a day.

Method

Take the tablet with liquid, with or after a meal to reduce stomach irritation; you can divide the tablet if you have trouble swallowing it whole.

Important

Do not exceed the maximum dose of 3 tablets per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Indigestion, heartburn, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting.
RARE
  • Headache, dizziness, feeling weak, drowsiness, trouble remembering things, trouble sleeping, nervousness, feeling agitated, difficulty concentrating, or unusual skin sensations like tingling.
  • Constipation, gas, stomach inflammation, diarrhea, dry mouth, mouth sores, changes in appetite, bloody stools, or ulcers in the stomach or small intestine.
  • Skin rash, itching, redness, or bruising easily (purple spots).
  • Worsening kidney function, needing to urinate often, difficulty urinating, or blood in the urine.
  • Anemia (low red blood cells), heart palpitations, fast heartbeat, or chest pain.
  • Vision problems (like blurred vision, eye pain), ringing in the ears, or hearing loss.
  • Swelling, fatigue, weight gain, asthma attacks, or liver/pancreas problems.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Ketorin if you are allergic to ketoprofen, aspirin, other NSAIDs, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have an active stomach or duodenal ulcer, or a history of bleeding or perforation in the digestive tract caused by NSAIDs.
  • Do not take if you have severe heart, liver, or kidney problems.
  • Do not take Ketorin during the last three months of pregnancy, as it can harm your baby and cause problems during childbirth.
  • Using NSAIDs may slightly increase the risk of heart attack or stroke, especially with high doses or long-term use; do not exceed the recommended dose or duration.

  • Ketorin can hide signs of infection like fever and pain; if you have an infection and your symptoms worsen, contact a doctor immediately.
  • This medicine may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or seizures, affecting your ability to drive or use machines safely.
  • Do not take other NSAID pain relievers at the same time as Ketorin, as this increases the risk of side effects.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. For short-term use only. Consider adverse renal effect in chronic kidney disease. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Increases swelling, worsens renal and heart failure and causes cardiovascular events. Increases risk of bleeding, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Consider potential interactions especially with preparations that increase risk of bleeding. (updated 16.9.2024)
