Ketoconazol ratiopharm shampoo is a medicine used to treat and prevent yeast and fungal infections of the scalp, such as dandruff and red, flaky patches.

How to Use

Dosage

For treatment, use twice a week for 2-4 weeks. To prevent the infection from returning, use once a week or every other week.

Method

Wash the infected scalp and hair. A handful of shampoo is usually enough. Let it work for 3-5 minutes before rinsing. Not recommended for infants or children.

Important

Do not use more than twice a week for treatment and no more than once a week for prevention. Do not swallow the shampoo; if swallowed, contact a doctor.

  • Skin peeling or other skin problems
  • Severe allergic reactions or pus-filled bumps where you used the shampoo

Important Warnings

  • Avoid getting the shampoo in your eyes. If it gets into your eyes, rinse them well with water.
  • Hair loss may occur during treatment. This can also be due to your underlying skin condition.
  • Tell your doctor if you are using other medicines, especially if you have used steroid creams on the same skin area. If you need to stop using steroid creams, do so slowly over 2-3 weeks.
  • Do not use this shampoo if you are allergic to ketoconazole or any other ingredients. Signs of an allergic reaction include itching and redness of the skin.

Category A
