Ketoconazol ratiopharm shampoo is a medicine used to treat and prevent yeast and fungal infections of the scalp, such as dandruff and red, flaky patches.
For treatment, use twice a week for 2-4 weeks. To prevent the infection from returning, use once a week or every other week.
Wash the infected scalp and hair. A handful of shampoo is usually enough. Let it work for 3-5 minutes before rinsing. Not recommended for infants or children.
Do not use more than twice a week for treatment and no more than once a week for prevention. Do not swallow the shampoo; if swallowed, contact a doctor.
Topical treatment: Suitable for older adults. In topical use, there is absorption through mucous membranes and broken skin. Consider the risk of interactions. (updated 11.9.2023)
