How to Use

Dosage

Take 50-100 mg once or twice a day, as needed.

Method

Take the tablet with or after a meal and a glass of water to avoid stomach upset. Try to take it at the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than 200 mg in one day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Indigestion or heartburn
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Pain in the upper stomach
RARE
  • Worsening headache or migraine, dizziness, weakness, drowsiness, or memory problems.
  • Constipation, diarrhea, gas, or stomach irritation.
  • Redness, itching, or mild rashes on the skin.
  • Worsening kidney function, painful or frequent urination.
  • Swelling or tiredness.
  • Anemia (low red blood cells), easy bruising or bleeding.
  • Insomnia, nervousness, agitation, low mood, or trouble concentrating.
  • Red or painful eyes, vision problems (like blurred vision), ringing in the ears, or hearing loss. Stop taking medicine and contact a doctor if you have vision problems.
  • Palpitations, worsening heart failure (more swelling, shortness of breath), or chest pain. Contact a doctor right away if heart failure symptoms worsen.
  • Dizziness or low blood pressure when standing up.
  • Asthma or worsening asthma. Contact a doctor right away.
  • Dry mouth, mouth sores, tongue or gum pain, increased saliva, or changes in appetite.
  • Stomach or intestinal ulcers or colon inflammation.
  • Yellow skin or eyes (jaundice), liver inflammation, or pancreas inflammation (severe stomach pain). Contact a doctor right away.
  • Abnormal lab test results for liver function.
  • Weight gain.
  • Local irritation of mucous membranes, blood in urine, or vaginal bleeding between periods.
  • Bleeding in the stomach or intestines (like black or bloody stool, or vomiting blood). Contact a doctor right away.
  • A hole in the stomach or intestine (severe stomach pain). Contact a doctor right away.
  • Worsening of Crohn's disease.
  • Bone marrow problems, leading to fewer blood cells and more infections (if you have unexplained fever or infections, contact a doctor).
  • Low platelets (easy bruising or nosebleeds) or low white blood cells (unexplained fever, flu-like symptoms, sore throat). Contact a doctor right away.
  • Severe skin reactions with peeling or blisters. Contact a doctor right away.
  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) that can cause shock. Contact a doctor right away.
  • Sudden swelling of the face, limbs, eyelids, lips, tongue, mouth, or airways (angioedema). Contact a doctor right away.
  • Seizures. Contact a doctor right away.
  • Kidney failure, kidney inflammation, or abnormal kidney test results (like high creatinine or protein in urine).
  • High blood pressure and flushing due to blood vessel widening.
  • Sudden narrowing of the airways (bronchospasm), especially if you are allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs. Contact a doctor right away.
  • Runny or stuffy nose.
  • Skin reactions to sunlight, hives (itchy rash), or hair loss.
  • Changes in taste.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to ketoprofen, aspirin, other painkillers, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have or have had stomach ulcers, bleeding in your stomach or intestines, or a history of stomach problems from other painkillers.
  • Do not take if you have a bleeding disorder or problems with blood clotting.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver, kidney, or heart failure.
  • Do not take in the last three months of pregnancy, as it can harm your baby.

  • Do not use other anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs) at the same time.
  • KETO can hide signs of infection like fever and pain. If you have an infection and your symptoms get worse, contact your doctor.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. For short-term use only. Consider adverse renal effect in chronic kidney disease. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Increases swelling, worsens renal and heart failure and causes cardiovascular events. Increases risk of bleeding, especially in the gastrointestinal tract.
