How to Use

Dosage

Adults and children over 12 usually take one 10 mg tablet daily. For severe symptoms, you can temporarily take two 10 mg tablets (20 mg) daily. For hives or strong reactions to insect bites, take one 10 mg tablet daily.

Method

You can take Kestine with or without food. For insect bite reactions, it works best if you take it before the bite.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 20 mg. If you have severe liver problems, do not take more than 10 mg daily.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ebastine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines, especially for fungal infections (ketoconazole, itraconazole), antibiotics (erythromycin, rifampicin), depression, or heart rhythm problems.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have severe liver problems.
  • Do not give Kestine to children under 12 years old.
  • Do not use Kestine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Kestine contains lactose. If your doctor has told you that you cannot tolerate some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
  • This medicine usually does not affect driving or using machines. However, tiredness and dizziness can occur, so see how it affects you before driving or using machines.
