Kestine is an antihistamine used to relieve severe allergic reactions like seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose) and allergic eye symptoms (redness, itching, burning).

How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 12, take one 20 mg tablet once daily for severe symptoms. For milder symptoms or long-term treatment, a 10 mg dose once daily is recommended.

Method

Take once daily, either with or without food.

Important

Do not exceed 20 mg per day. If you have severe liver problems, do not take more than 10 mg per day. Doses should be taken 24 hours apart.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ebastine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver failure.
  • Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking antifungal medicines (like ketoconazole, itraconazole), antibiotics (like erythromycin), tuberculosis medicines (like rifampicin), antidepressants, or heart rhythm medicines.
  • This medicine may cause tiredness or dizziness, so be careful when driving or operating machines until you know how it affects you.
