How to Use

Dosage

Take one Kelzyn tablet daily at the same time for 28 consecutive days. Take 24 white active tablets, then 4 green inactive tablets.

Method

Swallow tablets whole, with a little water if needed. It doesn't matter if you take them on an empty stomach or with food.

Important

Do not exceed one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Vaginal infections (yeast or bacterial)
  • Mood changes (like feeling sad or anxious) or changes in sex drive
  • Headaches
  • Feeling sick (nausea), stomach pain, or acne
  • Breast discomfort or pain, period pain, or bleeding between periods
  • Weight gain
RARE
  • Dizziness, migraine, or high blood pressure
  • Serious blood clots in the legs or lungs
  • Hair loss, itchy skin, or rash
  • Missed periods, ovarian cysts, or pain in the pelvic area
  • Severe allergic reactions like swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, which can make it hard to breathe (angioedema). Get help right away.
  • Problems with vision or itchy eyes

Important Warnings

  • Kelzyn slightly increases the risk of blood clots, especially when you first start taking it or restart after a break of 4 weeks or more.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any signs of a blood clot, such as swelling or pain in a leg, sudden shortness of breath, chest pain, or sudden vision loss.
  • Do not use Kelzyn if you have certain health conditions, like a history of blood clots, severe diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or certain types of cancer. Always tell your doctor about your health history.
  • This medicine does not protect you from sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS.
  • If you smoke and are over 35, it's highly recommended to quit smoking when using Kelzyn, as smoking increases the risk of serious side effects like blood clots and heart attack.
