How to Use

Dosage

For prevention, take 1-2 tablets (750 mg) 2-3 times a day, or one 1g tablet twice a day. For low potassium, your doctor will adjust the dose, typically 2 tablets (750 mg) 2-3 times a day until levels normalize, then 1-2 tablets twice a day. For 1g tablets, typically 2 tablets twice a day.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with at least one full glass of water. Do not lie down right after taking them, and do not take them just before going to bed.

Important

Follow your doctor's instructions for the maximum daily dose. For 750 mg tablets, this is typically up to 6 tablets per day (2 tablets, 3 times a day). For 1 g tablets, it is typically up to 4 tablets per day (2 tablets, 2 times a day).

  • Do not take this medicine if you have ulcers or narrowing in your esophagus or intestines.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have untreated Addison's disease.
