How to Use

Dosage

Adults: 1 tablet 1-3 times a day. Children: 1 tablet 1-2 times a day.

Method

You can swallow the tablet whole, divide it, or crush it.

Important

Adults should not take more than 3 tablets per day. Children should not take more than 2 tablets per day.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Increased calcium levels in blood and/or urine.
  • Constipation, gas, nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea.
  • Itching, rash, hives.
  • Milk-alkali syndrome (symptoms include frequent urination, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, unusual tiredness, weakness, and kidney problems).
  • Severe allergic reactions like swollen face, tongue, or lips; difficulty swallowing; hives; and trouble breathing (angioedema). Stop taking the medicine and contact a doctor immediately.
  • Hypersensitivity reactions like swelling of the throat.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to calcium, cholecalciferol, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have too much calcium in your blood or urine, or a condition that causes high calcium levels (e.g., overactive parathyroid glands, myeloma, bone cancer).
  • Do not use if you have too much vitamin D in your blood (vitamin D intoxication).
  • Do not use if you have kidney stones, calcium deposits in the kidneys, or severe kidney failure.
  • Talk to your doctor before using if you have sarcoidosis (a connective tissue disease).

  • Talk to your doctor before using if you have impaired kidney function.
  • Talk to your doctor before using if you are on long-term bed rest or unable to move for a long time (e.g., in a wheelchair).
