How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one chewable tablet daily.

Method

Chew the tablet or let it slowly dissolve in your mouth; do not swallow it whole.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Increased calcium levels in blood and/or urine.
RARE
  • Constipation.
  • Bloating or gas.
  • Nausea.
  • Stomach pain.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Itching.
  • Rash.
  • Hives (urticaria).
  • Milk-alkali syndrome, which includes symptoms like frequent urination, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness, high calcium in the blood, and poor kidney function.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D3, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have too much calcium in your blood or urine.
  • Do not use if you have kidney stones or calcium deposits in your kidneys.
  • Do not use if you have too much vitamin D in your blood (vitamin D overdose).
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney failure.

  • Talk to your doctor if you have sarcoidosis (a connective tissue disease that affects lungs, skin, and joints).
  • Talk to your doctor if you are taking other vitamin D or calcium medicines.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have reduced kidney function or a tendency to get kidney stones.
  • Talk to your doctor if you are immobile due to osteoporosis.
  • This medicine should not be given to children or adolescents.
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe allergic reaction symptoms like swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing, hives, or breathing difficulties.
