Possible Side Effects

  • Slow heartbeat
  • Irregular heartbeat

  • Low blood pressure
  • Widening of blood vessels
  • Constipation
  • Stomach pain
  • Feeling sick (nausea)
  • Being sick (vomiting)
  • Red skin
  • Rash
  • Pain where the injection was given
  • Feeling warm
  • Calcium deposits in the skin

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Kalcicur if you are allergic to calcium chloride or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have too much calcium in your blood or urine, or severe kidney disease.
  • Do not use if you have ventricular fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat).
  • Do not use if you have kidney stones, as this medicine can make them worse.
  • Do not use if you are also taking ceftriaxone (an antibiotic).

  • Do not use if you have sarcoidosis (a condition that can increase calcium levels).
  • Do not receive calcium if you have blood poisoning (sepsis).
