How to Use

Dosage

Adults up to 40 years and pregnant women: 1 tablet. Children 12-18 years: 1 tablet. Children 3-11 years: ½ tablet.

Method

Take the tablet as soon as possible according to official instructions. The tablet can be chewed, crushed, or swallowed whole with plenty of liquid.

Important

A single dose protects for 1-2 days. Do not take extra doses on your own; authorities will inform if another dose is needed.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Goiter, underactive or overactive thyroid gland (if repeated dosing or iodine-sensitive individuals)
  • Stomach problems
  • Nausea
  • Metallic taste in mouth
  • Increased salivation
  • Inflammation of the parotid gland (salivary gland near ear)
  • Rash (in iodine-sensitive individuals)
  • Severe allergic reactions, such as bronchial constriction (difficulty breathing), swollen lymph nodes, joint pain, and fever (in iodine-sensitive individuals)

Important Warnings

  • Only take Jodix tablets if advised by authorities.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to potassium iodide or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have thyroid inflammation, a thyroid disorder, or skin celiac disease (dermatitis herpetiformis).
  • Tell your doctor about other illnesses or allergies you have.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

  • If you have kidney problems or a potassium-restricted diet, note that the medicine contains 30.6 mg of potassium per tablet.
