Dosage

The dose depends on body weight: adults and children over 30 kg use 300 micrograms; children between 15-30 kg use 150 micrograms.

Method

Inject firmly into the outer thigh muscle (intramuscularly), either through clothing or directly on the skin. Hold the injector in place for 10 seconds after activation. Do not inject into the buttock.

Important

If symptoms do not improve or worsen within 5-15 minutes after the first injection, a second dose may be needed. Always carry more than one Jext auto-injector.

Important Warnings

  • Always get medical help right after using Jext, even if you feel better, as symptoms can return. Call 112 for an ambulance and say it's for anaphylaxis.
  • If you accidentally inject Jext into your hand or foot, seek emergency medical care immediately. This can reduce blood flow to the area.
  • If you have a thick layer of fat under your skin, one dose might not be enough, and you may need a second injection.
  • Never put your thumb, fingers, or hand over the black needle shield, as the needle comes out from there.
  • Only remove the yellow cap right before you are ready to inject Jext.

  • Jext contains sodium metabisulfite, which can rarely cause severe allergic reactions or breathing problems in sensitive people. Your doctor will advise you on its use.
