How to Use

Dosage

For 20 mg tablets: 1 tablet 2-3 times a day. For 25 mg and 50 mg extended-release capsules: 1-2 capsules once a day.

Method

Tablets should not be chewed; swallow them whole or halved with water. Capsules should not be chewed or crushed; swallow them whole with water.

Important

For 20 mg tablets: Maximum 3 tablets per day. For 25 mg and 50 mg extended-release capsules: Maximum 2 capsules per day.

  • Restlessness, confusion, sleeplessness
  • Increased pressure inside the skull
  • Vision problems

  • Stomach pain, diarrhea, dry mouth
  • Itching, pale skin, increased sweating
  • Muscle pain
  • Urination problems, frequent urination
  • Impotence
  • Increased pressure in the eye
  • Heartburn
  • Severe skin peeling (redness, scaling, peeling skin)
  • Severe swelling of the face, tongue, or throat (angioedema, with difficulty swallowing/breathing)
  • Low blood pressure

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to Isangina or other similar medicines (nitrates).
  • Do not use if you have sudden shock or fainting (acute circulatory problem).
  • Do not use if you have serious heart problems, such as your heart not being able to pump blood well.
  • Do not use if you have very low blood pressure, severe anemia, or too little fluid in your body.
  • Do not use if you are taking medicines for erectile dysfunction (like sildenafil) or riociguat, as this can cause a dangerously low blood pressure.

  • Avoid alcohol while taking Isangina, as it can make the blood pressure lowering effect of the medicine stronger.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Consider reduced blood pressure and the risk of fainting due to orthostatic hypotonia. Need for long-acting product should be assessed regularly. (updated 19.5.2025)
