How to Use

Dosage

1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times a day.

Method

Instill the solution directly into the eye. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid, and drop the solution into the pouch formed between the eyelid and the eye.

Important

Maximum of 3 drops per day in the affected eye(s).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Iopidine eye drops if you are allergic to apraclonidine, clonidine, or any other ingredients in this medicine, or if you are currently taking antidepressants called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
  • This medicine may cause allergic reactions, such as red eyes, itchy eyes, increased tearing, unusual sensation in the eyes, and swelling of the eyes and eyelids. If these reactions occur, stop Iopidine treatment.
  • Be cautious if you have a history of heart disease (e.g., heart attack), uncontrolled high blood pressure, circulatory problems (including stroke), kidney problems, depression, cerebrovascular disease, or Raynaud's syndrome. Talk to your doctor.
  • Do not use Iopidine eye drops for children, especially those under 1 year old, as there is no information on effectiveness and safety, and severe side effects have been observed.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption during Iopidine treatment.

  • Iopidine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.
  • This medicine may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience these symptoms.
  • Benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by soft contact lenses and change their color. Remove contact lenses before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
  • Benzalkonium chloride may irritate eyes, especially if you have dry eyes or corneal diseases. Contact your doctor if you experience unusual sensation, stinging, or pain.
  • Do not touch the tip of the dropper to your eye, eyelids, or any other surfaces to avoid contaminating the drops.
