How to Use

Dosage

It is given as an injection into an artery, vein, spinal fluid, or body cavities by trained medical staff.

Important

The dose is usually given as a single dose but can be repeated if needed, depending on the examination.

Possible Side Effects

  • Feeling of warmth
RARE
  • Headache, dizziness, confusion, temporary vision problems, seizures, loss of consciousness
  • High or low blood pressure, changes in heart rate, chest pain
  • Breathing difficulties, shortness of breath, cough
  • Rash, itching, hives, severe skin reactions (like blisters or peeling skin)
  • Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain
  • Weakness, fever, pain at injection site

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Iomeron if you are allergic to it or its ingredients, or if you have a severe thyroid disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had allergies, asthma, or reactions to contrast agents before.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you develop a severe rash, blisters, or peeling skin.
  • Thyroid problems can occur. Your doctor may check your thyroid function before or after treatment.
  • If you experience temporary brain dysfunction (encephalopathy), such as headaches or vision problems, tell your doctor immediately.
