How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 25 micrograms/2 mg.

Method

This medicine is injected into the side of the penis. A doctor or nurse will show you how to do the first injections.

Important

Do not inject more than once a day or more than 3 times a week.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Redness in the face and upper body.
  • Bruising at the injection site.
RARE
  • An erection that is long-lasting and painful (priapism).
  • Headache, dizziness.
  • Fast pulse, abnormal heartbeats.
  • Blood pooling under the skin at the injection site.
  • Small lumps on the penis from repeated injections.
  • Pain at the injection site.
  • Chest pain or angina (pain in the chest).
  • Symptoms of heart attack, such as chest pain that spreads to the left arm, difficulty breathing, and anxiety.

Important Warnings

  • If your erection is uncomfortable, painful, or lasts more than 4 hours, contact a doctor or emergency services right away. Treatment for this condition must start within 6 hours.
  • Do not use Invicorp if you are allergic to aviptadil, phentolamine mesilate, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have or have had blood cancers like leukemia or multiple myeloma, or sickle cell anemia, as this can cause painful, long-lasting erections.
  • Do not use if your penis is scarred or curved (Peyronie's disease), has abnormal hard tissue, or if you have a penis implant.
  • Stop using Invicorp if you notice an abnormal heart rhythm or a fast pulse.
