How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will prescribe your dose, typically once a day. Treatment lasts at least 6 days and can continue for up to 6 months.
Method
Inject under the skin as directed by your doctor. Do not inject into a muscle or blood vessel. Always inject at the same time each day.

Once daily, as prescribed by your doctor.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Pain at the injection site
- •Itching at the injection site
- •Swelling at the injection site
- •Bruising at the injection site
- •General bruises
- •Skin redness
- •Anemia (low red blood cell count)
RARE
- •Severe allergic reaction (angioedema) with swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
- •Difficulty swallowing
- •Hives and breathing difficulties
- •Severe allergic skin reaction with blisters or sores in the mouth, eyes, or genital area
- •Changes in platelet count (increased or decreased)
- •Mild allergic reaction (hypersensitivity)
- •Temporary liver changes
- •Rashes
- •Skin inflammation
- •General itching
- •Skin necrosis (tissue death)
- •Osteoporosis (bone thinning)
- •High potassium levels in the blood
- •Painful and prolonged erection (priapism)
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you have an increased risk of bleeding (general or local), a bacterial heart infection, a brain bleed, or a bleeding stomach ulcer.
- Do not use if you are allergic to tinzaparin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- If you need epidural or spinal anesthesia, stop using innohep at least 24 hours before the procedure. Do not restart treatment until 4-6 hours after the procedure.
- Talk to your doctor before use if you have severe kidney problems, diabetes, asthma, high blood potassium levels, or a prosthetic heart valve.
- Do not inject innohep into a muscle. Also, do not inject other medicines into a muscle at the same time to avoid bruising.
Use in Elderly Patients
Category C
