Imatinib Krka d.d. is a medicine that helps stop the growth of certain cancer cells in blood disorders and other tumors.
Your doctor will tell you the correct dose; typically, adults start with 400 mg or 600 mg once daily.
Take the medicine with food to avoid stomach problems and swallow the tablets whole with a large glass of water. If you cannot swallow the tablets, dissolve them in about 200 ml of still water or apple juice and drink immediately.
The maximum daily dose for adults is generally 800 mg, taken as one or two doses per day.
