  • After the injection, contact your doctor immediately if you experience worsening eye pain, redness, flashes of light, increased floaters, vision loss, or light sensitivity, as these could be serious complications.
  • Your eye pressure may increase, which can lead to glaucoma. Regular eye check-ups are important as you might not notice this yourself.
  • Most patients who have not had cataract surgery may develop cataracts after Iluvien treatment, which could require surgery to improve vision.
  • The implant may move from the back to the front of your eye, especially if you've had cataract surgery. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice distorted vision, swelling, or unusual eye appearance, as these could be signs of implant movement.
  • Your vision may be temporarily blurry after treatment. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision has returned to normal.
