Ilomedin is a medicine that widens blood vessels and improves blood flow, helping to relieve pain and heal tissues.
Your doctor will determine your dose based on your needs, typically 0.5–2.0 nanograms of iloprost per kilogram of body weight per minute, adjusted during the first 2-3 days.
The medicine is given as an intravenous infusion (drip) into a vein in your arm or via a central venous catheter, once a day over more than six hours.
The maximum daily dose is adjusted based on individual tolerance, typically up to 2.0 nanograms of iloprost per kilogram of body weight per minute.
