How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose, which is typically 126–154 MBq for adults.

Method

The medicine is given as a slow injection into a vein, and a PET scan will be done 50–100 minutes later.

Important

Only one injection is needed for the test.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • A temporary increase in a digestive enzyme (amylase) level in the blood.
  • Constipation.
  • Weakness.
  • Bruises, warmth, or rash at the injection site.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to gotsetotid or any other ingredients.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have kidney disease.
  • Drink plenty of water and urinate often before and after the scan.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, especially those that make you urinate more.
  • Illuccix is not for women, as it can harm an unborn baby.
