Icatibant Universal Farma treats symptoms of hereditary angioedema (HAE) by blocking a substance called bradykinin, which causes swelling, pain, nausea, or diarrhea.
For adults, one injection (3 ml, 30 mg) is typical. For children aged 2-17 years (weighing at least 12 kg), the dose is 1-3 ml based on body weight.
Inject under the skin (subcutaneously) in the fatty tissue of the abdomen with a short needle.
Do not take more than 3 injections in a 24-hour period.
