Icatibant STADA is a medicine used to treat symptoms of hereditary angioedema (HAE), such as swelling and pain, in adults and children aged 2 years and older.
The usual dose is one injection (3 ml, 30 mg) for adults. For children (2-17 years old and weighing at least 12 kg), the dose is 1 ml up to a maximum of 3 ml, based on their body weight.
This medicine is given as an injection under the skin of the stomach (abdomen) as soon as you notice symptoms of an angioedema attack.
Adults can have up to 3 injections within 24 hours. If you need more than 8 injections in a month, talk to your doctor.
