This medicine treats hereditary angioedema (HAE) attacks by blocking a substance called bradykinin, which helps reduce swelling, pain, and other symptoms.
For adults, the usual dose is one 3 ml (30 mg) injection. For children aged 2-17, the dose is 1 to 3 ml depending on body weight, or the full 3 ml if over 65 kg.
It is given as an injection under the skin, usually in the belly area. A healthcare professional will show you how to do it safely.
Do not take more than 3 injections in a 24-hour period. If you need more than 8 injections in a month, talk to your doctor.
